Being a Domestic Goddess is not about being a perfect goddess, but about feeling like One.

Our top tips are.

Manage the house like a project. Write lists to help you be clear about what you want and how you’re going to get it there. Prioritize using your own skills and consider outside pressures. There is little point making your house pristine on the day your son brings his friends over after playing football.

Be a chef in the kitchen. When was the last time you got pleasure from popping a ready made meal into the microwave? It is a real pleasure to cook and provide a nutritious meal for yourself, your man or your family. Most of us say we have not got time to prepare and cook a basic meal but we can find time for our favourite soap opera, or get our nails done. There are lots of books and courses that offer simple recipes with maximum effect.

Create the right ambience. Candles will always look amazing and scented ones also fragrance the room. The beauty of a garden doesn't have to stay outside, you can bring the color, freshness and vitality of plants and flowers inside. House plants help to convert carbon dioxide to oxygen and absorb many pollutants as well as having beneficial effects on both our physical and mental well-being. Fresh flowers will always help create the domestic goddess image, even just one beautiful flower will lift your spirits and make a room look loved and cared for.

House work burns calories. Hoovering the carpets burns around 200 calories an hour, plus it’s cheaper than the gym. Don’t leave all the house work to build up. Little and often means more play time!

Clean bed equals better sleep. Changing your bed linen every week will help restful sleep and stop the bed bugs biting.
